Ireland Trip 2024
Russ Mason's trip to Ireland (September 30th - October 8th, 2024)
I flew from Boston to Dublin, and spent the first four days there, before traveling to Portlaoise, Cork, and Killarney.
My main reasons for taking this trip were to research family history, attend Paul Brady concerts, and visit Killarney.

While in Dublin, I stayed at the Temple Bar Inn.

The day after I arrived, I visited the emigration museum in Dublin, and spent an hour with a genealogist there. She worked with the information I shared with her about the Masons' connection to Ireland, but was only able to make some suggestions for further research.

The following day I went on a bus tour of Knowth, Tara, and Newgrange, which Gloria and I had visited on a very
cold March day during our 1977 trip.

I joined a tour of the Custom House on my last full day in Dublin.
