Dear Frank, Please remember that I want you to take an early train for Chicago. Have got into such a state of mind that am inpatient for your return. Cannot settle my mind to enjoy going anywhere or reading anything for thinking of you and the boys. Went down to Fair grounds yesterday afternoon and looked over machinery and transportation bldgs, as you do not care to see them, and walked down through Midway Plaisance* to cable and home. Did not wait for fireworks. Great crowd, some 240,000 paid admissions. Met Joe Touhy(?), wife, and kid. Had quite a visit with them and made the usual promises to call etc. Don't think we will care to spare much time and money on Midway. Start early. Was up to Uncle Curtiss' Sunday night. They are well. Yours respectfully(?), Robt _______ *Originally designed as a linear park connecting Washington Park and Jackson Park, the Midway Plaisance was home to displays of cultures from around the world and the world's first Ferris Wheel during the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition.
