Wyoming County : I William Mitchell Surrogate do hereby certifiy that at a surrogate's Court holden on the 23th day of March, 1846 at Perry in and for said County satisfactory evidence was exhibited to said Court that Lucina Hurd, was entitled or claimant for a pension from the United States, on account of the Revolutionary service of her husband the late Daniel Hurd, under the acts of Congress [passed] 7, July, 1838, 3d March 1843 and 17th June, 1844. that she was a resident of the County of Wyoming in the State of New York, and died in the town of Castile in said County of Wyoming, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty-five, on the fourteenth day of December; That she left children whose names are Ziba Hurd, Silas Hurd, Lyman Hurd, Elisha Hurd, Nathaniel Hurd, and Harriet Palmer, who were all over the age of twenty one years, and the only survived children and lawful heirs of the said Lucina Hurd, deceased, at the time of her death. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my had and affixed my seal of office at Perry this 23th day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six.
